The June bank holiday weekend offers brilliant entertainment for Banner supporters following both Banner club teams and Clare teams with Banner Club players involved. (See fixtures posters)

The headline event for the weekend that will draw Banner club supporters to Thurles is the All Ireland u20 Final in Thurles on Sunday where Ronan Kilroy, one of our club heroes, will hope to add an All Ireland medal to his Munster U20 medal and his minor Munster and All Ireland medals from 2023. Best of luck Ronan we will be roaring you on and we are all so proud of how you represent our club always.

There is keen Banner club interest also in tomorrow’s All Ireland minor quarter final game in Thurles where Oran Duignan and Conor Coffey will be involved, both having featured prominently in their victory over Dublin in Thurles last week. Best of luck boys.

Caoimhe Ryan is among the Clare senior panel that will travel to Chadwicks Wexford Park tomorrow to take on Wexford in Rd 2 of the All Ireland. Caoimhe was joint captain for our Junior league title win during the week.

Best of luck to Tadhg Bane in the All Ireland u17 football Tier 2 Qrtr Final v Down having beaten Sligo away last weekend

In club action, our U15 Camogie girls will challenge Kilkishen in the county final on Sunday morning at the unusually early time of 09:30am. The early start is to allow supporters to travel to Thurles after the game. The Banner girls will be aiming to add the county championship title to the Feile County title that they won last month. In the group games the Banner defeated Corofin, Parteen-Meelick, Feakle Killanena, Whitegate, drew with Ballyea and lost by a goal to Kilkishen. In the semi final the Banner girls defeated Ballyea in a thriller. Kilkishen will be favourites for the final having won all group games in the Championship, their only defeat this year was against the Banner in the Feile round 1 last month. So it promises to be a tight affair with the 2 best teams in the competition battling for honours.

In other action this weekend , our Junior C hurlers play their next round versus Eire Og tomorrow. Undefeated si far this year, a win will qualify the team to the league final and ensure promotion for 2027. Throw in is at 1pm in Eire Og. Support welcome.

Our u13 footballers are at home tomorrow morning in their next game v Corofin. Best of luck boys. 

On bank holiday Monday our intermediate hurlers are at home to Scariff at 4pm in the next round of the league.

Finally on Monday evening our 13 camogie girls who are amalgamated with Corofin will play in the B cup v Tulla in Tulla at 5.30pm
