Victory Celebrations for Junior A Hurling Champions of 2025
On Sunday Feb 1st , the Banner GAA club held its Celebration Dinner Dance at Hotel Woodstock where the medals to the Junior A hurling champions of 2025 were presented following their double success in league and championship. This was the clubs first time winning the Junior A championship and the win has achieved dual intermediate status for the club in both codes, another first in the club's history and progress.
The Club's guest of honour for the occasion was Clare’s legendary centre back and double All Ireland winner from 1995 and 1997, Sean McMahon who presented the medals. Sean gave an inspirational address to the players and the guests about his sense of the 'Spirit of the Banner Club and Community' and urging the players to push for further success, past basecamp, building on the progress made in 2025. The MC for the evening was Ollie Gleeson who did a great job on hosting the evening. Unable to attend on the night was team selector Noel Kenny who has been with the adult hurlers for 10 years and the players sent their best wishes to Noel. The event was very well attended and thanks to Woodstock hotel for catering to us to so well. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate the occasion in Ennis among our local community. A sample of photos from the night are posted below and more are photos are on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
