On this Saturday May 17th our u15 Camogie Team will contest the U15C Cup Final for the first time in the Banner Camogie Clubs short history. This group of girls have developed into a very talented and spirited camogie side. En route to the final, during the group stages which consisted of 7 teams, the Banner girls had good away wins over Parteen-Meelick, Corofin, Ruan and an away draw with Crusheen. The team had a narrow defeat against Ballyea and suffered a heavy loss in the group stages v Saturdays final opposition Wolfe Tones. At the end of the group stages the Banner girls had earned 3rd spot in the group leading to a semi-final fixture, away versus Crusheen. After an enthralling and heart stopping encounter and two periods of extra time the Banner were victorious in that semi-final by 1 goal against Crusheen on a memorable night for everyone that witnessed a thriller of a match.  Going into Saturdays final, Wolfe Tones will be very hot favourites having dished out heavy defeats to all opponents in the competition in the group stages and in their semi final. The Banner girls will undoubtedly give it their all. Their heart and team spirit in recent matches has been unwavering and regardless of the result on Saturday being a win or a loss the club are extremely proud of their performances in the championship in 2025. Please come out to Clare camogie HQ on Saturday at 3.30pm in Fr McNamara Park to cheer on this fantastic group of young Banner camogie players. Banner Abu!!
