A night for celebration in the Banner and County Clare as Clare won the Munster Phase 1 Minor Football Championship last evening. The team were captained by our own Shane Meehan who score 5 points but the victory also included appearances from Thomas Meeneghan who also got on the scoreboard and defender and another leader in Eoin Walsh. The game was played in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick last night with Clare having a comprehensive victory on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-06. The picture above taken at home in Ennis after the victory last night is of our 3 Banner Club players, Thomas is on the left, Shane in the middle and Eoin on the right. Well done to Clare and the management team and congratulations to the 3 lads were are delighted and proud. Clare now advance to Phase 2 of the Munster competition where they will compete in a round robin format again the big guns of Kerry and Cork.
