Over the weekend our 3 adult teams were in action. Below are the headlines. the photo is of our Junior Footballers prior to throw in on Monday afternoon versus Ennistymon.

Our Junior 1 hurlers had an excellent win away to Whitegate on Saturday on a scoreline of 3-15 to 0-13. The team are playing really good fast hurling at the moment.

On Monday our junior footballers were unlucky to loose out to a fine Ennistymon side in the Junior A football league. We were short a number of players due to injury but Ennistymon deserved their victory on their North Clare home sod. Final score was Ennistymon 3-10 Banner 1-11

On Sunday morning our Junior 2 hurlers fielded away to Smith O'Briens in Killaloe. This is our first year to field a different panel and management in the Junior league as a means to give more of our younger and developing players game time and for some of our (ahem ahem ) older players a chance to get out. Smith O'Brien's won fairly easily in the end with a team that are aiming to try and win this division. A highlight of this game from the Banner side was the dispaly and free taking of Fiachra Hayees, with 8 shots at goal and 8 points.
