Congratulations to our own Banner Club coach Brian Coffey who managed the Clare U15 hurlers to All Ireland success yesterday. The Clare team won the Arrabawn title for the first time since 1999, a wonderful achievement. A Tipperary native living in Ennis for quite a few years, Brian ia heavily involved in coaching both hurling and football in the Banner with our under 9, under 10 and under 11 age groups. Well done to Brian. On the weekend that was in it, the Banner had  both Oisin MacMahon incolved with one of the Clare U15 sides and Niall Walsh featured with the Clare U16 A team. Although underage for the U16 competition, Shane Meehan was ineligible to play due to his success in making the Clare minor hurling team earlier in the summer.
