Congratulaitons to our Junior footballers and management who have qualified for the last 8 of the Junior Football Championship at the first attempt thanks to a 0-12 to 0-08 win over neighbours St Josephs DooraBarefield on Saturday evening last. The side were boosted by the return of James Coakley and Danny O'Halloran and the peformance included a man of the match display from Johnny Martin who covered every blade of grass. The Banner were 0-05 to 0-02 ahead at the break. Minor player Ian Molloy started the second half very well kicking two points in quick succession and these were followed by points from substitutes John Collins and Dan Daly. We are now in the draw for the last 8 of the compeition in our first year at this grade having won the Junior B County Title last year.
