On this Saturday night our own young club man Shane Meehan will collect a special first for our club. At an awards ceremony in Croke Park on this Saturday night, September 28th, Shane will collect his award for being selected on the Electric Ireland Minor Hurling team of the year. A special night for Shane, his family and indeed for all of us his proudest fans in the Banner GAA Club in Ennis. Shane is a truely deserving recipient of this award after his performances throughout the Munster and All Ireland Minor hurling championships, the great wins against Tipp, Waterford and Cork, his sensational goal against Limerick in the Munster final not forgetting his 13 point tally and all round wonderful display against Galway in the Clare last match in the All Ireland Series. This is a first for any player in the history of the Banner GAA club and we would all like to congratulate Shane on his award, to re-iterate how proud we all are of his achievements and hoping he has a great night with his familty in Dublin on Saturday night, celebrating this latest accolade. #Meehan
