The Banner U14s Footballers suffered from a slow start for the second game in a row in this exiting U14B football championship match at the Banner pitch. Some early lapses in concentrated left the east clare outfit in for a number of goals in a first half that was otherwise well balanced with Banner missing some good goal opportunities themselves. Trailing by 4-5 to 1-3 at half time the Ennis lads finally got going with a sustained attack on the Clooney Quin goal. With a more dominant full back line the momentum was all with the Ennis lads who just ran out of time coming agonizingly close to stealing a result.
