A busy weekend for our adult Hurlers saw Banner GAA Ennis fielding two hurling teams at adult level for the first time in many years.

The Banner 2 Junior hurling team were defeated on a 1-5 to 0-13 scorline on Sunday evening to a more experienced Wolfe tones side.

This evening our Banner 1 hurling team travelled to Sixmilebridge and came away with a fantastic 3-10 to 1-08 victory over a fine and experience ‘Bridge team. Goals from Fiachra Hayes, Philly Mac and Darren Owens gave the Banner a great start to the Banner 1’s league campaign. Hopefully the start of a long and successful year for the lads.
